I want to share with you a recipe for a soothing lavender face mask. It’s beautifully hydrating and calming. I use it in the evening before bedtime. My secret ingredient in this recipe is Lavender essential oil. Ever since I was a child I have had lavender oil on my pillow at bedtime – so I associate the smell with sleep and doze off as soon as I smell it. By the way, the lavender scent is great for dealing with insomnia. You want to make sure that you only put a few drops in the mask. This quantity is perfect for an appealing, regenerating face mask. I love it! The yogurt is not only a base in this recipe; it also works as a hydrating agent too. The honey, as you may know, soothes the skin in-depth and kills any bacteria. Try to use organic if you can!

Lavender Face Mask Recipe:

  • 2 TBS plain yogurt (use Greek-style for the ideal consistency)
  • 1 TSP of honey
  • a few drops of lavender oil

Smooth it over your face and neck. Leave it on for approx. 10 minutes. Rinse with warm water and apply moisturizer as usual.
